1st day:


Arrival to Slovenia, bus transfer to Bled, the most prominent Alpine tourist resort of Slovenia. Check-in to the hotel followed by a short tour of Bled, a pletna boat trip to the island, a visit to the castle and the surroundings of Bled. The Slow Food dinner will be served in one of the best restaurants in this region. Overnight in the hotel.
 

2nd day:


After breakfast, we will drive along the Karavanke Mountains to Logarska dolina, a splendid Alpine valley situated beneath the peaks of the Kamnik Alps. Check-into the Plesnik Hotel followed by a snack after which you will be free and may wish to engage in some outdoor activities (walks, riding, archery, mountain-biking,…). In the evening, the Slow Food dinner will be served in the top class restaurant in Luče. Overnight in the Plesnik Hotel.
 

3rd day:


After breakfast transfer to Koroško and a visit to šentanel, one of the most beautiful villages in Slovenia, where most of the houses still have shingle roofs making the visitor feel as if time has stopped. After tasting the excellent home-made sausages, we will drive along the foothills of Pohorje, through the Drava valley to Maribor, the capital of štajersko. A short sightseeing tour of the old town will end in a typical dinner and wine tasting at one of the many small tourist farms. Accommodation and overnight in Maribor.
 

4th day:


After breakfast we travel towards Prekmurje, the north-eastern flat corner of Slovenia, which geographically belongs to the Pannonian Plain. After lunch in a typical Prekmurje inn, we will take a tour along the mills on the river Mura, have a look at the typical local pottery and some other ethnological attractions of Prekmurje. The evening will be marked by typical Prekmurje dinner. Accommodation and overnight in the Moravske toplice spa hotel.
 

5th day:


After breakfast, we’ll drive to Slovenske Gorice, the biggest wine growing region of Slovenia. The centre of this region is the town Jeruzalem, where the acknowledged winemaker Kupljen has its vineyards. After arriving to the estate, we will first have a short wine tasting session and a snack. Then we will take a walk to the wonderful vineyards where you will have the opportunity to help a bit in the vineyard and thus learn about the art of making wine. Wine tasting, an ethnic Slow Food dinner and accommodation will all be provided at Kupljen’s.
 

6th day:


After breakfast we will tour to Ptuj and take a sightseeing tour of this old medieval town with many beautiful buildings and other attractions. One of them is certainly the biggest wine cellar in Slovenia where we will have a snack with wine tasting. After that we will go to Olimje to take a look at one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe. We will also visit Atomske toplice, a chocolate factory and a brewery for a change. After lunch on the Amon estate we will continue our journey towards the wine-growing district Bizeljsko, known for its light and fresh wines. A snack and tasting of the exquisite sparkling wines will take place at the famous winegrower Istenič. A drive towards Dolenjsko, a visit of picturesque Kostanjevica and Pleterje and we will end the day with dinner in a typical Dolenjska zidanica (a kind of cellar and lodge in or next to the vineyard). Accommodation in the Castle of Otočec.
 

7th day:


After breakfast we will take a ride towards Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Immediately upon arrival we will go for a sightseeing tour of the most beautiful parts of old medieval town, its most prominent squares, churches and public buildings. In the wine cellar, we will have a snack and wine tasting. Then we will drive to Postojna and visit the Postojna Cave, one of the most beautiful and biggest underground Karst caves in Europe. Farewell Slow Food dinner will take place in the restaurant in Ljubljana. Accommodation and overnight in Ljubljana.
 

8th day:
