1st day:
Arrival, a ride to Ljubljana, checking into the hotel. Immediately upon arrival we will go for a sightseeing tour of the most beautiful parts of old medieval town, its most prominent squares, churches and public buildings. In one of the wine cellars we will have a snack and wine tasting. Slow Food dinner will be served in one of the top Ljubljana restaurants, accommodation and overnight in Ljubljana.
2nd day:
After breakfast a ride to the golf course Arboretum and at approximately 10.00 AM playing 18 holes. The course, featuring numerous water obstacles, is situated in the beautiful natural surroundings under the Kamnik Alps. In the centre of the course, at hole 9 you will find a club house. From there you can enjoy an idyllic view over the small lake. The course was opened in 1998 and the opening of further 9 holes followed in 2000. At around 4.30 PM there will be lunch in the club, followed by trip to Maribor via the Tuhinj valley. Typical dinner, accompanied by wine tasting, will be served at the tourist farm of the one of the wine producers. Accommodation in the hotel in Maribor.
3rd day:
After breakfast a short sightseeing tour of old Maribor, followed by a drive to the medieval town Ptuj. At about 10.00 AM you will start playing 18 holes on the golf course close to Ptuj. The course opened in 1999is indeed interesting and well integrated into the environment. The course includes many water obstacles; the most interesting holes are the 5th one with a green on the island in the middle of the lake and the 6th one with a rebound in the middle of the lake requiring long opening stroke. Lunch in the club house at around 4.30 PM will be followed by the ride through Podčetrtek towards Čatež and Mokrice and then dinner with wine and sparkling wine tasting at the famous Istenič winery. Accommodation in the Mokrice Castle Hotel.
4th day:
After breakfast a game of 18 holes on the golf course Mokrice, which is quite interesting and demanding because of the rough ground and narrow fairways. The first 9 holes are lead over the hill through pear and vine orchards, while the last 5 holes follow a wonderful old English Park. After the game there will be a snack and voyage to the hotel Grad Otočec. Dinner will be served in a typical Dolenjska vineyard cottage. Accommodation in the Otočec Castle Hotel.
5th day:
After breakfast we will take a ride to Lipica with the world famous stud. You will be playing 2 x 9 holes on the Golf Course Lipica at around 11.00 AM. The course is situated in beautiful even idyllic Karst natural surroundings. The course is not too difficult, still it is rough, the holes go among old oak trees and pine trees, the greens are wide, the course offers everything needed for the relaxed playing. After the game we will have a snack and later on we will drive to the wine farm for some excellent wine tasting and ethnic dinner. Accommodation and overnight in a nice hotel.
6th day:
After breakfast a ride to Postojna and visit to Postojna Cave, one of the most beautiful and biggest underground karst caves in Europe. After the sightseeing and lunch in the nearby mill, we will take a ride to Bled and at around 1.00 PM we will start playing on the Golf Course of Bled.
The Golf Course of Bled is the most attractive in Slovenia. The first 18 holes were made in 1937. The course is one of the most beautiful in Europe and stretches over the 10.000 acres of land below the Karavanke Mountains. The course is well kept. Apart from the classical and traditional Jubilee Course with 18 holes there is also marvellous Lake Course with 18 holes at your disposal.
Bled Golf and Country Club are hosts to numerous tournaments e.g. Slovenian Ladies Open (European PGA for Ladies), Slovenian Open (European PGA Challenge) Pre Am tournaments and others.
Dinner will be in the Club, Accommodation in the Grand Hotel Toplice.
