DAY 1, ARRIVE IN LJUBLJANA
You will be met at the Ljubljana Airport and transferred to the hotel. Accommodation and welcome drink. The balance of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Ljubljana.
DAY 2, LJUBLJANA
After breakfast whole day excursion to the southeastern part of Slovenia. Ribnica is the first stop - a small town known for the paddlers who were selling their woodenware and the pottery all around Europe. They still do it - "because people don’t like plastic things anymore " they say. In the afternoon drive to Kostanjevica to visit the Forma Viva, and to Otočec. The old castle from the 13th Century is nowadays a hotel. Late in the afternoon drive back for dinner and overnight at the hotel in Ljubljana.
DAY 3, LJUBLJANA
After breakfast whole day excursion to the north-western part of Slovenia, to Gorenjska. First stop in škofja Loka, a nice small town at the confluence of two Sora rivers. The town is the craddle of the "honey cakes" and only few women still know how to bake and decorate the thick honey cakes. Visit the one of them - to admire her skill. On to Kropa, a nice borough in a narrow valley, where memories of the once famous ironworks are met at every step. Visit the Ironworks Museum and the manufacturer of unique ironsmith souvenirs. Continue to Lake Bled and boat drive with a homemade wooden boat `Pletna` to the islet in the middle of the lake. After free time for lunch continue to another alpine lake - Bohinj. The lake is not the only attraction there - one thousand cows of the area and the best Slovenian cheese, made in the old traditional cheese-dairies are another mark of the area. Drive back to Ljubljana, stop in Radovljica to visit the Apicultural Museum, the only of the kind in Europe.

DAY 4, LJUBLJANA
After breakfast whole day excursion to the northeastern part of Slovenia, known for the vineyards and the old potteries. Visit of the wine cellar to taste the wines that are in this part of Slovenia mostly white. In the afternoon visit of the local pottery and presentation of the old craft. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Ljubljana.
DAY 5, TO LIPICA
After breakfast drive to Idrija, the cradle of the Slovenian lace making - a noble folk craft. Visit the Lace Museum and the lace-making school. On to Lokve - a small village known for its `pršut` – smoked ham. Visit of the "pršutarna" - the place where ham is being prepared and smoked. Smoked ham and wine tasting. On to Lipica, the cradle of the white Lipizzaner horses. In the afternoon free time for horse riding - or just relaxing in the beautiful resort.

DAY 6, TO SLOVENIAN COAST
After breakfast visit the stud farm and afterwards drive to the Slovenian coast. Accommodation at the hotel. In the afternoon visit the International Forma Viva and the Salt-works museum. The production of the salt in Slovenia is still traditional – in summer time busy men working in the saltpans can be seen. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Portorož.
DAY 7, SLOVENIAN COAST
After breakfast boat drive to Piran, a small town with its strong Venetian imprint. Visit of the Nautical Museum. The balance of the day at leisure.

DAY 8, DEPART SLOVENIAN COAST
After breakfast transfer to the Ljubljana Airport to board your homebound flight.
