DAY 1, ARRIVE LJUBLJANA

You will be met at the Ljubljana Airport and transferred to the hotel by our local host.
Dinner and overnight at hotel in Ljubljana.

DAY 2, TO CELJE

After breakfast sightseeing tour of the old centre that inspires visitors with its rich antique and medieval heritage, with the Renaissance, Baroque, and Art Nouveau facades of its buildings, and with the impressive work of the famous architect Jože Plečnik. Continue to south-eastern part of Slovenia to visit the International Forma Viva in Kostanjevica and the Monastery of Pleterje, where even nowadays women are not allowed to enter.

DAY 3, TO MARIBOR

After breakfast time to visit the town, the last seat of the Slovenian counts of Cilli. The dinasty died out in the mid 15th century and was suceeded by the Austrian dinasty of the Habsburgs. Continue to Rogaška Slatina, the famous spa and the town where the biggest Slovenian crystal factory was founded. Visit the spa and the crystal sales exhibition. On to Ptuj, the oldest Slovenian town, mentioned for the first time already in 69. The old city core of Ptuj is outstanding for its preserved medieval shape. Stop for a visit of the town and its castle. In the afternoon visit to the wine cellar and taste the wines of this region. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Maribor.

DAY 4, TO ŠKOFJA LOKA

After breakfast visit of the old part of the town (city wall from the 14th century, jewish tower, water tower...not to mention the oldest wine in the world, growing in Maribor for almost 400 years). On to the Logarska valley, a beautiful valley with an attractive waterfall of just enjoy the unspoiled nature. Depart to škofja Loka. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in škofja Loka.

DAY 5, TO BLED

After breakfast visit the second oldest town in Slovenia (more than 1000 years), limited by two Sora rivers and dominated by a castle. The town consists of Upper Square with richer houses and the Lower Square where the rustical touch is evident. The Freising bishops ruled the area for 830 years. Still nowadays there is a black man in the town`s coat-of-arms. The legend says that one of the Freising clan was attacked by a wild animal and was saved by a black man. In the afternoon continue to the well-known tourist resort Lake Bled with its famous islet in the middle. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Bled.

DAY 6, TO POSTOJNA

After breakfast sightseeing tour of Bled, which has been a tourist paradise for more than a century with the thermal springs, recreation opportunities, congress centre, casino, golf course, castle, 17th century church in the islet and other natural attractions. The guests can visit the islet with the ’Pletna’ boat and ring the bell in the famous wish bell tower. Continue to the pass Vršič (1611 m) or the pass Predel (1156 m) to the beautiful national park - the Soča valley. Short stops to admire the area and depart to Postojna. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Postojna.

DAY 7, TO SLOVENIAN COAST

After breakfast visit the world famous Cave of Postojna. Later on visit of another attraction of Slovenia - the stud farm of Lipica, the craddle of the famous white horses. In the late afternoon continue to the coast. Slovenia only has 40 km of the coast (Adriatic sea), but it is worth visiting its salt-plants, marinas, hotels and green gardens. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Portorož.

DAY 8, DEPART SLOVENIAN COAST

After breakfast visit the old village of Piran to admire its strong Venetian imprint. Free time to visit the Nautical Museum or just watch the busy fishermen in the port. Transfer to the Ljubljana Airport to board your homebound flight.
