To make you more interested in this tour here are a few facts about Croatia: it has the most beautiful coastal regions of the Mediterranean, Dubrovnik as a highlight, hospitality and fine weather are just few of the reasons why so many tourist are visiting this country.
And Montenegro – again something special and different: its astonishing Mediterranean coast, medieval cities, undiscovered and wild mountains, unexpected contrasts and the special mentality of the locals.
There are a lot of reasons to visit these places, you won’t regret your decision.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL - ZAGREB - LJUBLJANA
Arrival in Zagreb, sightseeing of the capital city of Croatia, transfer towards Ljubljana, sightseeing of its historic part, accommodation, dinner. About 140 km by bus.
DAY 2: BLED - POKLJUKA - BOHINJ - BLED
After breakfast transfer to the Bled region, boat trip to the island of Lake Bled, visit to the ancient castle, visit to the Vintgar valley, then transfer to the high Alpine plateau Pokljuka and from there to another magnificent Alpine resort - Bohinj - with a beautiful lake and the Savica waterfall. Then back to Bled, dinner, accommodation and overnight. About 90 km by bus.
DAY 3: POSTOJNA - LIPICA - PIRAN - PORTOROZ
After breakfast transfer to Postojna and visit to one of the most beautiful underground caves, then visit to the Lipica stable, one of the most interesting stables in Europe - a home to world-famous horses. Then transfer to Portoroz, sightseeing of the "Mediterranean pearl" Piran, dinner and accommodation in Portoroz or somewhere close. About 140 km by bus.
DAY 4: MOTOVUN - OPATIJA - PLITVICE
After breakfast trip through the Istrian peninsula to Motovun, then to Opatija, after short sightseeing trip along the Adriatic coast via Senj and the picturesque countryside of Lika to the Plitvice lakes. Dinner and accommodation. About 310 km by bus.
DAY 5: PLITVICE - ZADAR
Visit to the national park including boat trip, in the afternoon transfer to Zadar, accommodation in a hotel, short sightseeing of its historic part (St. Donatus cathedral and other remains from the Roman era), dinner and accommodation in Zadar. About 150 km by bus.
DAY 6: KORNATI - ZADAR
In the morning whole day cruise to the national park Kornati islands, an unique archipelago of 60 islands. Picnic in one of the most beautiful bays, free time to swim in unspoiled nature. Dinner and accommodation in Zadar.
DAY 7: KRKA ( WATERFALLS ) - SIBENIK - SPLIT
After breakfast transfer to the Krka waterfalls national park, visit to another natural wonder, transfer to Sibenik, short sightseeing of its historic part. Later on transfer to Split, the biggest Dalmatian city. Dinner and accommodation in Split. About 160 km by bus.
DAY 8: SPLIT - DUBROVNIK
After breakfast sightseeing of Split incl. the Dioklecian palace, synagogue, the Jupiter temple, in the afternoon transfer along the very picturesque coast towards Dubrovnik. Dinner and accommodation in Dubrovnik. About 250 km by bus.
DAY 9: LOKRUM - DUBROVNIK
After breakfast sightseeing of Dubrovnik, once the second strongest city in the Mediterranean (after Venice), visit to the city walls and the historic part. In the afternoon short cruise to the Lokrum island and visit to a botanical garden. Dinner and accommodation in Dubrovnik.
DAY 10: DUBROVNIK
Free for individual program. Possibilities to visit one of many exhibitions or concerts, which are organised espacialy during the simmer. Or just enjoy in a relaxing atmosphere in the city’s historical part. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 11: KOTOR - CETINJE - BUDVA
After breakfast transfer to Montenegro (no visa is needed, no problems with any other papers), visit to the historic city of Kotor, today under UNESCO heritage. Then transfer along the mountain road with a breathtaking scenery to the typical village Njegusi, some free time for a typical snack (smoked cheese, ham, …), then trip over Mt. Lovcen towards Cetinje, the ancient capital of Montenegro. Visit to its historic part with a museum (once the palace of the king) and orthodox monastery from where the bishops ruled the small country. Then transfer to Budva, another typical ancient town, today the centre of tourism in Montenegro. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Budva. About 120 km by bus.
DAY 12: DURMITOR - CUREVAC - TARA CANYON - ZABJAK
After breakfast trip to the Durmitor mountain region, famous for unspoiled nature and rich wildlife. Trip to a national park including a walk to the visit point Curevac, 1.625 m above sea level, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view to the Tara river canyon, with 1.100 m depth the second deepest canyon after Grand Canyon. After typical lunch walk around the Black lake in the heart of the national park. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Zabjak. About 120 km by bus.
DAY 13: SCEPAN POLJE - BUDVA
After breakfast transfer by bus through the unspoiled, wild and beautiful countryside towards Scepan Polje and after a rich traditional breakfast trip by jeeps to the point, from where an amazing water adventure can start. The water is limpid green and drinkable, the atmosphere is unique and unspoiled. Afterwards lunch will be served outdoors, followed by transfer back to Budva. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Budva. About 140 km by bus.
DAY 14: SKADAR - BUDVA
After breakfast trip over the mountains towards Lake Skadar, the biggest on the Balkan peninsula, well-known for its beauty as well as rich flora and fauna. A boat for trip around the lake will wait, clear water, lush lake vegetation, birds and fish will make the cruise enjoyable. Stop for lunch - fish prepared and served in traditional way. There will be time for relaxing and swimming., in the afternoon transfer back to Budva. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Budva. About 120 km by bus.
DAY 15: DUBROVNIK - DEPARTURE
Free, transfer to the Dubrovnik airport and departure back home.
